This event will include a screening of their award winning short film entitled “Echoes of the Ice” as well as a reception and Q&A session with the founders of Indigenous Geographic (Crystal Martin and Matt Lemay) to learn about best practices in collaborating with Indigenous communities. Speaker: Dr. Reitan Ribeiro, MD

Dr. Reitan Ribeiro is an internationally recognized gynecologic and surgical oncologist, best known for developing the uterine transposition technique, a fertility-preserving procedure that temporarily relocates the uterus and ovaries outside the radiation field in patients undergoing pelvic radiotherapy. This novel approach is transforming care for young women with pelvic malignancies, and Canada's first dedicated clinic for uterine transposition is currently being established under his leadership.
