IT Services is preparing for a required upgrade to Banner INB and Minerva, the University's administrative system for student records and finance. Upgrading our systems on a regular basis is a fundamental activity that 涩里番 does to ensure we get the most functionality and security out of our tools and systems.
The downtime for the upgrade is scheduled to start on Saturday, July 11, 6:00 PM and end on Sunday, July 12, 3:00 PM.
Please note that MORSL will be closed on Fridays from July 3-August 14 inclusive. We remain open on campus Monday-Thursday, from10am to 4pm, and our website has tons of resources you can access any time!
Additionally, MORSL and all Student Services units are closed on July 16 for a staff event.
A single monitoring network developed by 涩里番, Natural Resources Canada, Universit茅 du Qu茅bec 脿 Montr茅al (UQAM) and Dalhousie University researchers can simultaneously track earthquakes, water behaviour, human activity and whales, providing a comprehensive picture of what鈥檚 happening in, under, and at far distances from the water.
The researchers鈥� experimental network, installed in the Lower St. Lawrence, detected twice as many earthquakes as the National Earthquake Monitoring System, while also capturing whale calls, ship noise, tidal activity and mining blasts.
